----JUNIOR STAFF CRY OUT OVER SEXUAL HARASSMENTS BY THEIR BOSSES

To workers at the National Space Research and Development Agency, NASRDA, the sex scandals rocking the organisation is not news at all. Indeed, it has become so bad that management had to issue a statement decrying the phenomenon and sternly warned that any senior staff blackmailing or forcing a junior staff to commit immoral act would be punished. The statement, signed by the organisation’s Director of Administration and Finance on behalf of the Chief Executive of the body underlined how serious the issue had become as it was no longer an aberration.

Indeed, abujareporters.com gathered that

not a few men who have their wives in the organisation have had to chose between keeping the marriages or having a wife who sleeps around. This is because of the spate of sexual molestations that have become rampant in the body with the senior staff being the culprit.

A case that has served as the eye opener is said to involve a fifty something year old man who has been with the organisation for over twenty years and whose wife, also a staff packed out of her matrimonial home to move in with another staff who is equally married only for her to file for divorce. The new suitor to the estranged woman is said to be a senior officer in the organisation.

Investigations by our reporter revealed that this is not the first time as female junior staff members especially those who are not married are coerced and or blackmailed into relationship and even marriage to older and senior officers in order to gain promotion or to remain employed.

When the memo by the NASRDA boss did not work, some junior staff, who believe that the only way out is for the Ministry of Science and Technology to institute a probe into the activities of their bosses have come together to write a petition to the Minister, Ogbonaya Onu asking that their homes be saved from their sexually rampaging bosses.
