Prior to my pregnancy, Babs took me to the hospital for various medical examinations like HIV and others, knowing that I passed all the medicals I went through. On realizing that I was free, we started making casual love without using any form of protection.

A team of senior police officers from the office of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP, Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar, yesterday interrogated Adamawa State governor, Murtala Nyako, over his recent memo to the Northern State Governors’ Forum, NSGF, accusing President Goodluck Jonathan of  committing genocide against the north.

The team, which left the Force Headquarters, Abuja, on Monday, met Nyako at the Government House in Yola. They were sent by the IGP acting on the strength of the petition by the governor.

Although the police authorities described the team as being on a fact-finding mission, Nigerian Pilot learnt that the officers quizzed Nyako for two hours.

Woman 5 Bags 5 Months In Prison For Beating 2-Year-Old To A State Of Coma

An Upper Area Court in Kado, Abuja, on Wednesday sentenced a 43-year-old woman, Janet Moses to five months in prison for beating a two-year-old boy to a state of coma.

The judge, Mr Abubakar Sadiq, sentenced Moses after she pleaded guilty to a one count charge of cruelty to a child.

Sadiq, however, gave the convict an option to pay a fine of N10, 000.

He said the sentence was to serve as a deterrent to others who might want to engage in similar acts.

The judge also warned the convict to desist from such acts and be of good behaviour.

He said the child, who has since recovered, was now with the social  welfare officials and would soon be reunited with his parents who are in Maiduguri.
