Why would a judge adjourn a criminal case ‘sine die’ after
granting the accused bail in terms he knows fully well he might not be able to
meet? This is the question the National Human Rights Commission would try to
proffer answer to as they investigate a Federal High Court judge of the Abuja
Division, Justice Adeniyi Ademola, over his purported controversial handling of
a bail granted to a former Director of Pension Accounts in the Office of the
Head of Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF), Dr. Sani Teidi Shaibu.

I Am only Taking A Break From Acting For Politics Jibola Dabo...
The latest actor to have been bitten by the bug of politics is veteran actor, Jibola Dabor, who is currently strategising on how to clinch the ticket to represent his people of Owo Federal Constituency, Ondo State, at the House of Representatives.
According to
the veteran actor, it was never his call or decision but the call of his people
who clamour for him to represent them. But does that mean Mr. Jibola Dabor
would be quitting making movies?
“ I can still
do one or two movies, because nothing in the constitution says I can’t do
movies, but I know there won’t be time to do much movies. I’m not quitting, I’m
just taking a break to give back to the people, because I’ve realized that the
industry has taken me to a particular peak. Giving back is not going to be easy
from that industry, but if I’m part of a voice, I can better develop the industry
and give back to the community.
OUR COMMANDERS ARE COLLABORATING WITH BOKO HARAM,- NIGERIAN SOLDIER...
In an exclusive interview with
VOA’s Hausa service, he described how his military unit, based in the
northeastern Borno State region, was ambushed by Boko Haram fighters.
The soldier, who did not want to be identified, said the commander of a nearby military unit, based in the town of Bama, recently sought assistance from his unit in carrying out a raid.
The soldier said when the two military units joined up, they were given different uniforms. The Bama unit commander gave his own troops green uniforms. The soldier said his unit received tan “desert camouflage” uniforms.
When the troops reached the battle area, the soldier said the commander of the better-equipped Bama unit suddenly withdrew his forces, leaving the remaining troops to fend for themselves against Boko Haram fighters.
