Her full identity is known to this writer as well as the police who picked her up penultimate Monday and would be revealed when she is formally charged to court.According to dependable sources which include lawyers who participated in her arrest, the lady had swindled 4 top Nigerians by telling them she could help them buy properties in the city.

PASTOR AND WIFE FIGHT DIRTY OVER OWNERESHIP OF CHURCH...

Every Sunday, two worship services are held at Victory Pentecostal Ministries International Incorporated in Enugu. While one holds in the morning, the other takes place in the afternoon.
The church is divided into two factions. Members who belong to the camp of Pastor Ralph Okebu (47) turn up in the morning while those who hold allegiance to his wife, Prophetess (Mrs) Caroline Okebu (51) attend in the afternoon. Before the worship arrangement was arrived at, congregants on both sides had fought physically over the use of the church auditorium located at Km 1 Enugu – Onitsha Expressway. According to a source, it took the intervention of the police to restore some form of order in the church, adding that policemen were stationed in the premises for two Sundays to avoid bloodshed.

In what may be his first major step at taking control, as part of his determination to professionalise the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and to make it people-oriented, Godwin Emefiele, the new Governor, has approved the redeployment of his deputies.
A statement by Isaac Okoroafor for the Director of Corporate Communications on Wednesday, said as part of the redeployment, Alhaji Suleiman Barau, in charge of Corporate Services Directorate, now takes over the Operations Directorate; while Dr. Kingsley Moghalu returns to to the Financial Systems Stability (FSS) Directorate from his present position as DG Operations.

Sheriff, Ikimi, Amaechi Boycott APC’s NEC Inauguration...

The crisis rocking the All Progressives Congress (APC) following its just concluded convention took another dimension yesterday as most of the aggrieved leaders of the party refused to attend the inauguration of the new National Executive Council (NEC).
The notable absentees included a former governor of Borno state, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers state, and former foreign affairs minister Chief Tom Ikimi.
It had been rumoured that Sheriff and Ikimi planned to defect to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as a result of grievances that arose from the election of the new NEC.

Plateau Gov Jang’s Son Sues Plateau Speaker House...

Special Adviser on Special Duties to the Plateau State governor, Yakubu Jang, has dragged the Speaker of the state House of Assembly and the other 23 members to the state High Court, praying it to stop the House from investigating the avalanche of alleged financial misappropriations levelled against the state, which includes him.
The order of interlocutory injunction restraining the defendants (Speaker and House members) from giving effect to the petition which was received by the House on May 15, and written by a group which goes by the name ‘Plateau Patriotic Front’ was also received by the court on June 11, through the plaintiff ’s counsel, Mr. Sunny-Gabriel Odey.
