He was Minister of State for Power in the dying days of the Jonathan administration. He was obviously given the portfolio so that he could make some money to help the PDP in the state make some money to help them in the campaigns and also help the government in making some marks through projects that would show that the Federal government has not forgotten the people. He did more than that.
Our investigations revelaed that some projects that were meant for Rural Electrification Agency onnthe state which passed through the minister were simply hiacked by him. No, he did not just appoint contractors for the jobs, he simply told them that they should collect the money and do nothing.
A contractor friend of his who refuses to cooperate was blacklisted. That one had told him that he could not just collect the whole money and do nothing.
Wakil, who was a former top shot in the House of Representatives in the 1999-2003 era had been running from pillar to post since we asked for his response to the allegations.
