POLICE AMBUSHES, SHOOTS AT NSCDC VEHICLES IN OYO STATE...

The Nigeria Police at it again; ambushes NSCDC officers in Ibadan, shoot Vehicles.
It was reported yesterday that some men of the Nigeria Police from Sango Police Station in Ibadan Oyo state ambushed the Anti-vandal Squad of NSCDC with aim of release the already captured Vandals in the custody of NSCDC. The suspected Vandals were arrested at Ajawa in Ogbomoso South Local Government area of Oyo State with a vehicle loaded with PMS.
The team of Police on Patrol got to the scene after being alerted by vandals and free some suspects which includes some serving Police Officers. Operational Vehicles of NSCDC were shot at and damaged by Police Officers while some officers of NSCDC sustained degree of injuries. The eyes witness said, the arrested vehicle with PMS were moved into the premise of Sango Police Station forcefully by Police Officers.
It was not the first time the Police would be coming to the aide of bunkerers in recent times. The face-off has led to the President inviting the leadership of both the Police as well as the NSCDC to meetings with a view to telling them that they have to call their boys to order. Curiously it has always been the Police that is the aggressor with the latter trying to either rescue arrested criminals or prevent their arrests.
