These are not the best of times for the allies of former President Goodluck Jonathan. His successor Muhammadu Buhari is in pursuit of those who looted the country’s treasury and it is obvious that the former President’s friends and allies fell into this category having used the excuse of his naivety in power to help themselves to some of the country’s resources.
It was gathered that prominent Bayelsan traditional ruler and a close associate of Buhari had his Abuja home located in Maitama ransacked by operatives of the State Security Services, SSS. Though no details of the raid has been provided, associates believe it has to do with oil deals that took place during the Jonathan years as well as issues of oil bunkering. The family of the Bayelsa monarch is yet to make a statement on the raid in which documents and cache of money were said to have been carted away.
