Real Reason Atiku Abubakar's first Daughter is still Single...

                                   
She is the Adamawa state Commissioner for Health. Fatima Atiku Abubakar is the first child of the former Vice President and his wife, Titi. She is a medical doctor and prior to her appointment as the Commissioner for Health back home in Adamawa State, she had worked at the popular Zankli Hospital in Abuja. She is also believed to have a Masters Degree in a health related course.
The story around her remaining single is pathetic. According to our source, years back, Fati as she was fondly called grew up spending holidays with her maternal grandmother. The grandma was believed to be strong prayer warrior and a devout Christian who ensured that Fati adopted elements od the Christian faith while she was around on holidays.
The young girl gradually became so fond of her Christian prayers that she usually took prayer points from programmes with her whenever she went back home. She also gradually observed fasting programmes and other programmes which her grandmother's church partook in. She was no longer too keen about the Islamic faith which was the faith of her parents.
Her parents son discovered this and decided that they would have none of it. Indeed, what they did was to take the materials she had that had anything to do with the church. They also ensured that her visits to her grandmother were curtailed in such a way that she would not be there for long.
Fati however grew up to be a woman of her own mind and ended up bringing a Christian suitor home for marriage. Her parents would have none of it. They told her pointblank that it was not acceptable. She gave them time hoping they would budge, they didn't. She broke up the relationship.
Curiously, the next suitor she would bring again was a Christian which recalled miffed her parents especially her father. He refused to give his consent. The young man walked away after waiting unending for the Turaki Adamawa to change his mind. He did not. After the second attempt, Fati again brought another man, also a Christian from the South South. The answer was again a resounding no.
For Fatima who was already in her thirties then, that was the last straw. She could not believe that despite their cosmopolitan outlook, her parents would insist that she married s Muslim. She quietly dropped the idea of marriage from her wish list. Till today, Fatima Atiku Abubakar, whom is the couple's first child is single and she has her parents, especially her father to blame for this.
