In what smirked of retribution by her stepchildren, Halima Deinde Fernandez, widow of late Billionaire businessman and Ambassador Plenipotentiary, Deinde Antonio Fernandez has been ejected from her late husband's Belgium home by the Belgian Police. This is the latest development in a squabble that has seen Halima and the youngest of her stepchildren, Abimbola take to the social.media to exchange abuses and other vitriolic attacks over who did what in the family and how the old man died.
Ever since his burial, darts have been flying between Halima and the children with some of them accusing her of burying her husband in a foreign land, contrary to the man's last wishes. The children also accused her of scheming to take over the late man"s vast business empire and that this was why she allegedly kept them off his medical situation in the weeks prior to his passing on. The dirty exchanges continued for days unending weeks back and in the process one of the kids must have informed the Police that Halima was not a wife but a mistress prompting the Police in Belgium to invite her and demand to see her wedding certificate.
Of course, she was wedded in the Islamic way and there was no presentation of certificate during the wedding Fatiha. What it meant was that she had none unless there were special arrangements for her to acquire one before the man passed on.
Base on her inability to show proof that she was indeed married to Fernandez, she was directed by the Police to vacate the family house where she had stayed with her husband for years before he died. The eviction seems to have been the first in a series of actions that would further polarise the family even before the man"s will is read.
