Abuja Society woman, Habiba Abubakar goes into Talent Hunt Show biz...

 That she is a top society woman is not in doubt. So also is it not in contention that she is super- rich. Indeed, she told some reporters sometimes last year that she makes as much as 360million Naira annually from rents alone talk less of her property business. Ambassador Habiba Abubakar is a woman of many parts, activist, humanitarian philanthropist, businesswoman and a mother. She spoke on her new passion a Talent Hunt Show called the Goodwill Ultimate Talent Show, GUTS with our reporters. Excerpts.
What informed this project?
I gave a plot of land to Nigerian less privileged and because I am not used to taking money from people, organization or government, I have this feeling this is Habiba’s dream to build a school for the less privileged and not anybody’s dream. Why should I be going round asking people to give me their money to build the school so I came out with this talent show through it to be branding products and be selling, the profit that we will be making out of that, I will put it unto the plot to build the school since it is my personal dream.
The products we will be selling will be wrist watches, phone covers, feel n win scratch cards which you can buy for 300 Naira and win stuffs like Toyota Corolla 2014 model, iPad, laptops, iPhones, biros, recharge cards T/shirt, Face caps etc. For the reality talent hunt you will download the form and pay 3000 Naira only either online or into Goodwill Ultimate a Talent show account at FCMB account number 3361861014, or First Bank account number - 2027527706.
For the star prize is , 3 million and a movie role for the first prize, second prize is 1.5 million Naira plus a movie role and the third prize is 500 thousand Naira.

Who are the judges and how did you select them?

I personally don’t know any of the judges. I have never met anyone of them. My former project coordinator knows them and works with them in the past and he suggested we pick from each categories. We have in the matured side -Zack Oji, on the comedy side -Francis Odega, on the fashion part we took Oge Okoye and on the new breed side ,we took Amanda Ibeye and Tchidi Chikere I learnt he is a director in Nollywood ;shooting movies of his own. We picked him as the host.
I only goggled them and I accepted them. They have signed a contract to be with us and we will soon be on air.
We want to start promotional jingles first week of January and we want to give two months for people to do the registration- buy our scratch cards and all procedures. We want to shoot the programme itself live on air by last week of February or first week of March 2016 in Abuja Gods willing

Why Abuja?

I picked Abuja because I am here and I want to see what is going on, I want to see what we are giving back to the society as exciting and entertaining worth there money. Basically I can monitor all. I am giving back to the society what they deserve and I want to see we are shooting rightly, what is going on air is right and let me scrutinize every other person that is there so that we will prevent a lot of issues having to do with the contestants or with the public.

Where is the land located and what is the size?

The land is located at Lugbe Abuja, it is 5 hectares and it is about seven football field in size, that is where we intend to build the Nigerian first school for the less privileged in Nigeria . Through this project ,everything that one is contributing to is history making; the school is first of its kind in Nigeria. A reality show for charity has never been done in the entire world and this is the first reality talent show for charity and yet we are making money, we are empowering people we are also helping amateur talents that are coming to stardom with a starting point of three million Naira and a movie role , the second 1.5 million Naira plus a movie role and the third 500 thousand Naira plus a movie role. In addition to a school, do you have other projects for the site?

The main aim of the whole thing is home for the elderly. We are having the school, we are having a 40 bed home for the elderly we want to start with. Since we are just started we want a way we can afford it whether the public helps us or through the way that I used to help myself in my programmes ,at least ,let me do what I know I can afford to do. if I want to build a house for 40 elderly people to start with and we will have a vocational centre where we will be bringing in lecturers to teach vocational courses so that we can get some little money to run the school with since it Is a subsidized school for the less privileged, we don’t expect money to be flowing in to the schools and this kind of small vocational centre can give us a little money if we are charging you how to learn the use of computer, hair dressing, barbing, Makeup, Sewing, etc all these things.
How ready or prepared are the officials particularly the judges?
All the judges are passionate about this programme and are ready to give in their 100% to this peogramme for their fans and giving back to their country Nigeria for free and against all odds. Many challenges on the way terrible and malicious people on the way but they can not stop my dream, my idea that am using my money to put together, with out anybody,s Kobo I deserve a thumb up for that from well meaning Nigerians and in my opinion this is what deserves an award more than foundation for the elderly and the poor lol.
