Ahmad Salkida, Nigerian journalist who reportedly has access to the leadership of the Boko Haram sect has revealed a lot about the insurgents.
In a question and answer section organized by Jibrin Ibrahim, a Nigerian political scientist and activist & ICT consultant, Akin Akintayo, using the #WhatDoesBHWant hashtag, Salkida gave a chilling revelation of what the Boko Haram wants.
According to Salkida, Boko Haram wants to return ‘Islam’ to what they view as d interpretation of first generation Muslims and so they indoctrinate their members to hate even their own parents, family etc if they are associated with ‘Kufr’ 3(denial of truth).He said that Boko Haram who has one of the fastest growing army want to implement their brand of Sharia and Muslims, Christians or Atheists who oppose their doctrine will be attacked.
He explained that even the Sultan of Sokoto becomes Nigeria’s leader and every Christian converts to Islam, Boko Haram will not stop the killings as their grouse is with the institution of democracy and the people’s way of life, therefore every supporter of secular institution must be destroyed.
“The chances of BH agreeing to a ceasefire/retreat from captured territories through peaceful means as recently announced, is 1/10. Danladi Ahmadu who is claiming to be working with d FG on peace settlement has nothing to do with Boko Haram as a group or its leaders. The name Danladi in the first place based on BH doctrine is Kufr, d name means someone born on Sunday which to BH is apostasy. Again Danladi, always refer to Allah as ‘Ubangijji’ in Hausa, a name BH consider to be Shirk (deification). Using d prefix of Uba (father) & gijji, a name of an idol, Ubangijji (Master of gijji) is a word, BH leaders preach against.
“BH believes that their “success” is built with the blood/Shahada of their brethren & many prefer to die in war than in peacetime. Any negotiation by BH will have to be strictly guided by Sharia & NO government will suspend its constitution because its treason.
“Boko Haram has nothing to do with FG, GEJ or the Niger Delta they only feed on our differences & obsession with conspiracy theories. BH ideological army, not conscripts go into war to die than come back alive. We have to give the Nigerian army that feeling to die for Nigeria,” he said.
