The pretty unassuming wife of the Speaker of House of Representatives is not like your normal society woman or wife of top politician. Shy to a fault, left for her, her husband should not have gone for the post of the Speaker. According o sources close to her, it is not because she does not want her husband’s progress politically but she believes that the stress and strains of the office might rub off negatively on her family.

It took a lot of pressure from the husband for her to move from their former house to the official residence of the Speaker as she was said to have declined stating that she was more comfortable where she was. It was when she was told that she had roles to play in terms of meeting guests and entertaining them that she reluctantly relocated. She is said to be so close to childhood and old friends of the Speaker that most of them when they can’t see the Speaker because of his busy schedule make do with seeing her.
