WHY TWO NORTHERN BILLIONAIRES ABUBAKAR ALIYU AND DAHIRU MANGA DON’T SEE EYE TO EYE...

Ordinarily they are expected to be mutual friends after all they are both into oil and sundry businesses but Dahiru Mangal the billionaire behind AFDIN Group of Companies comprising of MAX Airlines, Construction and Mainasawa Oil and Mangal Oil as well as Mangal Transport is not one to be taken for granted. He has over the years built a reputation that is well known on account of his shrewd business practices. His airline has for the past eight years or so been one of the major carriers used for the hajj business and apart from this, his various businesses are also believed to enjoy strong government patronage.
On his own, Abubakar Aliyu, the owner of A.A, oil is also a successful businessman who has also built a reputation as a major government boogeyman. He has had friends in power such as former Delta state governor, James Ibori as well as incumbent Minister of Justice.Mohammed Adoke. He is also into oil but he is more known in Abuja for his taste in properties as well as cars. As businessmen, their paths have crossed over time and obviously, the A.A.oil boss seems to have been worsted.
We reliably gathered that while the former CBN Governor was in office, there was a job that was believed to cost billions and both men went for the construction job. Sources gathered that the then  CBN governor, apart from his closeness to Dahiru Mangal, believed that he was more likely to give the apex bank what they wanted hence decided that rather than allow the choice of who got the job to be influenced by the strings pulled by A.A. Oil boss, just allowed things to follow its due course. The end result was that Abubakar Aliyu lost out and since then the two top businessmen have been at loggerheads.
The quarrel between the two is so pronounced that they naturally avoid each other with one keeping off any social engagement where he knows the other would attend.
