----Over
stepping into Stella Oduah’s ministerial shoes
For
former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, these are indeed the best of times as
he successfully completed his term and is already having another plum job waiting.
Right at the sending off programmes organized in his honour a few weeks back,
the coordinating Minister of the Ecoomy who is from his state stated clearly
that the Presidency wanted him around because of his prudent way of managing
resources as well as his business-minded nature. The President himself was believed
to have indicated interest in having the former Anambra state governor who
ruled the state for eight years as part of his cabinet given his meticulousness
and the fact that the former Governor was also an ardent supporter of Goodluck
Jonathan all through his term as Governor.
Meanwhile,
even though he has been consulted the former Anambra State Governor who mandate
was twice taken away from him and who had to depend on the court to return the
mandate was believed to have told the President that he needed time to put
himself together after handing over to his successor. Peter Obi was said to
have told the President that in matter of days he should be ready. This we
gathered ahs forestalled the presentation of his name as a ministerial nominee
to take over from former Aviation Minister, Stella Oduah who is likely to be
announced as the head of the Jonathan reelection campaign team soon.
