ABUJA’S MOST EXPENSIVE ESTATE WHERE TENANTS PAY 100,000 DOLLARS ANNUAL RENT...

----For a 3-bedroom flat at Peggy’s Pointe
You might think you know Abuja but you do not know the city if you do not know the areas where the rich and powerful lives. Take for instance Peggy’s Pointe located nearly opposite the Maitama Hospital and not too far from Dunes. It is an estate that stands out not just by the high and mightily imposing gate but the ferocious looking but cautious guards who keep sentry at the gate as well as other strategic outposts in the estate.
It is perhaps one of the most policed estates in the country though the uniformed men who police the estate are armed they are cautious and from their approach you would know that they are well-trained. Virtually every part of the estate is believed to be secured through close circuit cameras and guests are thoroughly frisked before they are allowed in. As expected you cannot just walk in unless the tenant you are visiting notify the gates and confirm your identity.
Electricity and water run twenty four hours and the estate is said to have its own relaxation spots as well as other recreational facilities and well cleaned and beautified environment. Abujareporter.com gathered that for a 3-bedroom flat tenants pay 100,000 dollars annually and they pay less for smaller apartments. Payments are made in hard currency as the owner of the estate does not take Nigerian Naira.
Most of the resident are believed to be workers with embassies and International organisations as well as prominent Nigerians who have homes in other parts of the town but who prefer to live there in other to keep off guests and unwanted visitors.
Meanwhile there are other estates that rival Peggy’s Pointe, charging between 50,000 and 70,000dollars per annum for the same set of apartments. There is also the Ancestors’ Court as well as the Bank of Industry Estate both located in Maitama and Asokoro respectively. Both estates are not just beautiful with imposing gates and well secured with security cameras as well as other amenities. The Ancestors’ court charges around 55,000 dollars per annum while residents pay another 2 million Naira as service charge. It prides itself as the most beautiful of all the estates.
Apart from this, there is also the Bank of Indu
